Atmospheric photography?

I’m looking for any photographers that are on the net, whose work is very atmospheric, not as in landscape shots, but in as giving the look of translucence and haziness. I’m particularly looking for artists whose works closely relate with shadows and the contrast between light and darkness. Can anyone help here?
