Does it matter what food?

Lets say you eat a bag of skittles containing 240 calories. But would it make a difference if instead you ate an apple or some carrots that added up to 240 calories? Is the amount of caloires all that matter or will it make a big dfference what food it is? (a healthy 240 caloires or a bag of skittles 240 calories). I hope that made sense! :)
