Girls! What are some good ways can I talk to this shy girl in my cl?

I have this super cute girl in my cl (summer school/college) and of course I sit next to her on the first day. I talked to her after cl for a a little bit and then that was it. I try to say a few things (borrowing paper) just to get some convo in but it just seems like she either really shy or just doesnt wnat to talk to me. She's always on her cell phone texting and I see her looking at me a few times but she never talks to me. I want to talk to her but I feel like she is too shy or she doesnt want to (no idea why) and w/e questions I ask, i just get 1 word answers. I know im not pestering or being annoying bc im a really chill person and i dont talk TOO much but I had to at least try w/ her. What can I do?
